This is a library built into the staircase. How clever!

On Verlee’s Blog, he asked the question: “What is graphic design?” and encouraged people to upload a picture to a specific flickr-pool and eventually he would pick the winners, which he has now done. This is the Top 3, and they look awesome!

This ‘Long John’-bicycle is custom painted by Esimex with original, grey Mercedes paint and equipped with the real star logo in front.
On their website you can see a couple of other bikes they also made. Including a ‘Short John’-BMX-bicycle!

I don’t know what it is about me and architecture, but there’s just so much beatifully designed buildings coming through my feed reader every day.
This is one of them; a library in Columbia (!) on top of a hill and built by the architect Giancarlo Mazzanti. Too good to not pass along!

While digging around MySpace, I found some interesting news about the life of Danish DJ, Anders Trentemøller:
‘Miss You’ (iTunes link) will be released on audiomatique as a 12″ single March 17th and includes the following tracks:
A1 - Miss You (Trentemøller Remix)
A2 - Miss You (Pole Remix)
B1 - Miss You (Pascal F.E.O.S. Edi
B2 - Miss You (Lulu Rouge feat. Asger Baden Remix)
Furthermore he is going to create some new music for the next movie by renowned film director Lars von Trier and has recently turned down a remix offer from Moby for his single “New York, New York”, but will perhaps do another song from the back catalogue (he already did a remix of ‘Go’).
He also talks a bit about his next album which is described this way:
“My next album will definitely be more of a ‘listening’ album. Maybe it will be more acoustic — or more electronic. I don’t know. I’m just playing around now and jamming and seeing what comes up.”
Beatport also has a video interview with Trentemøller which is nothing spectacular, but a good way to get an impression of his thoughts about music; link

“It wasn’t long, however, before I started experiencing more extreme spatial distortions. Floors either curved or dipped, and when I tried walking on them, it felt as though I was staggering on sponges. When I lay in bed and looked at my hands, my fingers stretched off half a mile into the distance.”
This is from a blog post at BoingBoing where a guy describes what it’s like to suffer from ‘Alice in Wonderland syndrome’ (wikipedia). It sounds like a seriously crazy disease - just imagine what it would be like to see your fingers stretching for miles (while not being high, that is!).

rumplo.com is a site where you upload a picture of your t-shirt and others can vote for it, and the best part is that most people provide links to the webshops so you can buy one yourself!
I wrote about barackobamaisyournewbicycle.com some time ago, and it turns out there’s a whole bunch of those sites floating around the interwebs:
