I don’t know why, but tonight seems to be “rediscover the internet of the 90s” for me.
Found this link to the very first website in the world, running of a NeXT computer at Cern in Switzerland.
Then reading through old posts at kottke.org. It goes way back to 1998, with some fun posts in between. For instance Google goes out of beta (and Kottke seems to think the logo is ugly and links to an awesome Forbes article about Google) and he seriously disliked Apple OS X’s DHTML-like interface when it came out.
Fun fun fun. Now I wanna go for a walk and get some fresh air.
